Firefox - Four Years Later

November 9th, 2008 will be the four year anniversary of Firefox 1.0 release. Since its inception, two things have happened steadily: Firefox has gained browser share, and Microsoft's Internet Destroyer has lost it.

IE's peak of 95.0% happened in Q2 of 2004, according to and today falls to 78.3%. During that same time frame, Firefox has gone from 2.4% up to today's 16.4%.

And things just got worse for Microsoft, with the release of Firefox 3.0 - its better than its ever been. So how long do we think it will take Firefox to get to 50% share?
